PRAYER FOR THE WORLD
Dear God, We are in the midst of great pain and fear in this country.
Attack has come with all it's furor. This has left us feeling helpless
and afraid for those we love. I know that this is not your will. Please
bring comfort now to us all. Let Your love fall down on our shoulders
like a blanket. Release us from our fear, anger and attack thoughts.
I believe that God is all good and everywhere present. I believe in
the power of Your love here on Earth. I believe that You will that
the planet be healed. I now begin to envision the world as You would
have it be. All life is now cradled in Your loving arms. There is
no place on Earth that Your light does not touch. I now call upon
Your holy name to heal this world with the Holy Spirit. Divine Love
is now flowing through every country and nation. Every man, woman
and child is embraced in perfect love. There is no poverty, pain,
sickness nor lack in God. This is an abundant universe and there are
more than enough resources for everyone to have all that they need.
Every person and nation now draws to them all that they need in order
to be happy, healthy, safe and loved. Under God’s plan everyone wins
and no one loses. Greed, addictions, anger, wars, prejudice and sickness
all dissolve in the miracle of Divine Restoration. The need to be
right is released and dissolves. All of nature is being brought into
harmony as the plants, animals and all living things are restored
to their natural state of being. The citizens and leaders of every
nation are now being awakened to the truth of our Oneness. All beings
everywhere are being lifted up to their highest and best. We recognize
the sacredness of all life. We are all healed together. Here and now
I give my life to God that I may be used as an instrument of healing
and change. I recognize my importance in this plan for salvation of
the world. May I do no harm. May I help wherever I can. Use me, Lord.

Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.
From the center where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out,
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Beloved God, omnipresent power and love, May your
soothing Presence comfort all of us right now, but especially those
who died in this tragedy and their loved ones left behind. Help us
to not get trapped by fear, terror or revenge. These are natural and
human reactions, but do not help us or the world situation. Help us
instead to open our hearts wider in love and dedication to truly helping
on this planet. As Saint Francis prayed, "Lord make me an instrument
of your peace." Help us, Great Spirit, to bring peace to the disturbed,
to bring love to those caught in fear, to speak comforting words to
those who feel hopeless, and to offer to hold in loving arms anyone
who needs love at this critical time in our history. Thank you, God,
for allowing me to be of service, for guiding me to the right places
at the right times, for helping me to be an instrument of your peace.

Almighty and Gracious God, before whom all generations
rise up and pass away; we are dismayed and perplexed by the unfolding
events far and near that are beyond our control, and even beyond our
comprehension. We feel ignorant and powerless in the face of such
devastations, and we are consumed by self-doubt and despair. Amid
a flood a conflicting emotions, tears, sadness, and grief, and in
the numbness of the moment, we pause to pray for peace within our
own hearts and the hearts of our loved ones, for peace within our
own nation and among the world's nations. Inspire our quest for national
unity with an equal measure of respect for human diversity. May those
who govern people everywhere pause and remember that the primary function
of government is to provide for the security and well-being of all
people. May the peace we are praying for be marked by a commitment
to justice and compassion for all the world's people. Author of Life,
We pray for all of our sisters and brothers whose nations are in the
throes of violent change. Empower us to do what we can to translate
compassion into action, and show us that, with your assistance and
care, we can always do more than we believe possible to overcome our
fears and help bring peace to our hearts and to our generation. Amen.
